The start of the race saw Adams take the lead followed by Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN in the J&S Towing Honda, Josh Davis of Lenoir City, TN in the Davis Racing Special, Jacob Sharp of Crossville, TN in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet, and Presley. The first of six caution flags came out on lap two when Walton spun down the front straightaway.
Sharp got by Davis for the third spot on the restart, and the field was slowed by a lap four turn one spin by Jon Pilkey of Ten Mile, TN in the Pilkey Racing Saturn. Davis fell out of the fourth spot when he stalled coming off the fourth turn on lap six. Adams led Josh Scealf, Sharp, Ketron, and Walton down for the restart.
Presley passed Walton for the fifth spot on the restart, while Josh Scealf and Sharp battled side-by-side for the second spot by lap eight. That battle ended on lap 14 when Josh Scealf and Ketron, running second and fourth respectively, both slowed with flat tires to bring out the caution flag.
Scealf went past the Work Zone and was out of the race, while Ketron hit the zone to change his tire and return to the race. Adams gave up a two second lead on Presley when the yellow flag came down with seven laps to go, but he had no problem pulling away on the restart. A three-wide battle for third broke out on the restart, but Joe Scealf held the position and Ketron powered by Jones for the fourth spot.
