SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will be a busy place this Saturday, March 19 with an Open Practice and Swap Meet. The Swap Meet will be from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon, and the Open Practice will take place from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. It will be the final tune-up before the 2022 Season Opener on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval on Saturday night, March 26.
The Pit Gate and the Grandstand/Tier Parking gates for the Open Practice will open at 11 a.m. Pit passes are $20 for Adults, $5 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under accompanied by an adult are admitted free. Mountain View Raceway will have fuel available at the track this Saturday. The Concession Stand will be open for the Open Practice.
The 2022 Season Opener at Mountain View Raceway will be on Saturday night, March 26 for the Late Model, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, 4-Cylinders, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive and Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions. The Sharps Mini Late Models will also be on the racing card on March 26.
The 4-Cylinder and B- Hobby Divisions will alternate weeks during the 2022 racing season. The Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division is for kids 15 years of age and younger that are learning how to race in a supervised environment. Rules and Regulations for all Divisions can be found on the track website at www.mountainviewraceway.com.
Competitors need to have an operational RaceCeiver one-way radio device at all times when they are on the race track this Saturday. Competitors will also need to pick up a Transponder at the Scale House this Saturday to make sure they are mounted correctly and working properly.
