POINTS SEASON BEGINS SATURDAY AT MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY


SPRING CITY, TN – The 2021 Points Season begins this Saturday at Mountain View Raceway, Drivers in the Late Model, Sportsman, B Sportsman, Modified, B Hobby, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, and Dwarf, Divisions will earn points each Saturday night through October 16.


On Saturday, the Pit Gate Opens at 12 Noon with Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 12 Noon to 2:30 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 2:45 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 3 p.m. The Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 1 p.m.


Pit Area Admission is $25 for ages 12 and up, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. Grandstand Admission is $10 for ages 12 and up, Children 6 to 11 is $5, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. You can purchase the whole seat, but you’ll only use the edge! Division Rules and Payout Information can be found on the track web site at www.mountainviewraceway.com.


Several drivers tuned up last Saturday to defend their 2020 Division titles at Mountain View Raceway. Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN is the defending Late Model Champion in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR, and Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN is the defending B Sportsman Champion in the Morgan Septic Service Rayburn.


Jonathan Sims of Knoxville, TN is the defending Thunder Champion in the Roberts Auto Service Monte Carlo, and Jacob Sharp of Crossville, TN is the defending Front-Wheel-Drive Champion in the Sharp’s Race Cars Chevrolet. The Open-Wheel Modified and Dwarf Divisions are the two newest Weekly Divisions at Mountain View Raceway for the 2021 season.
