SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will present a Regular Weekly Points Race this Saturday night with eight Divisions in action on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval. Race fans will also have the opportunity to mingle with their favorite Sportsman Division drivers during a special Meet and Greet Session in Victory Lane.
The Late Model, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, Junior Front-Wheel-Drive and Developmental Sportsman Divisions are on the racing card this Saturday night.
The defending and three-time Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN leads the Late Model point standings after his win last Saturday night in the 3rd Annual Rocky Top Rumble. Goodman has 94 points and an eight-point lead over Josh Walker of Ringgold, GA with 86 points. Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN is third in the standings with 74 points.
Cardwell leads the Sportsman point standings with 100 points represented by two wins to hold a 12-point advantage over Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN with 88 points, D.J. McMahan of Cedar Ridge, TN is in the third spot with 74 points.
Jimmy Dalton of Powell, TN picked up a win on April 2 to lead the Open-Wheel Modified Division standings with 50 points. The defending Mountain View Raceway Open-Wheel Modified Champion Billy Palmer of Knoxville, TN is second with 48 points, and Joe Freels of Coalfield, TN is third with 46 points.
Brady Lee of Knoxville, TN was the winner on April 2 and leads the B-Hobby standings with 50 points. Jim Gilbert of Rossville, GA is second with 48 points and Kenneth Daniels of Spring City, TN is third in the standings with 46 points.
Casey Cash of Spring City, TN has a win and a third-place showing to lead the Thunder Division standings with 96 points. Chris Williams of Spring City, TN is second with 86 points and Zaniel Rogge of Spring City, TN is third with 86 points.
Bo Millsaps of Decatur, TN has a win and a third-place finish to lead the Front-Wheel-Drive standings with 96 points. Millsaps has a six-point lead over Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN with 90 points. Charlotte Jones of Decatur, TN is third with 82 points.
Frankie Sharp of Crossville, TN was the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Feature Race winner on April 2 and leads the standings with 50 points. Steven Clowers of Englewood, TN is second with 48 points and Chevy Adams of Crossville, TN is third with 46 points.
This Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
