REGULAR WEEKLY SHOW AND KIDS BOX RACES SATURDAY AT MOUNTAIN VIEW


SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway returns to action this Saturday night with a Regular Weekly Show for six Divisions. The Kids also get into the act with Box Races during intermission. The Kids will take a cardboard box, paint it up like their favorite driver’s race car, and then use their feet for horsepower.


The Late Model, Sportsman, 4-Cylinder, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive and Developmental Sportsman Divisions will compete on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval. The Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, and Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions will have the night off this Saturday.


The defending and three-time Track Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN is the Late Model Division point leader driving the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN leads the Sportsman Division point standings in the Cardwell Racing Rocket. Landon Fitzgerald of Dayton, TN is the 4-Cylinder point leader in the Fitzgerald Marine Detailing and Restoration KDR.


Casey Cash of Spring City, TN driving the Duncan Family Automotive Camaro is the Thunder Division point leader. Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN is the Front-Wheel-Drive point leader in the C&S Towing Honda, and is in a Championship battle with Nathan Adams of Crossville, TN driving the Adams Racing Chevrolet. Adams will be looking for his 12th win of the season on Saturday night.


The Developmental Sportsman Division is for drivers looking to get experience in Late Model/Sportsman style race cars. Tyler Norwood of Athens, TN has been learning his lessons well at Mountain View Raceway in the Stacey Suttles Trucking Mastersbilt. In his first two races ever in a race car at Mountain View Raceway, Norwood has won and will be looking to remain “Mr. Perfect” this Saturday night.


On Saturday night, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. The Mandatory Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.


Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
